The German Private Institute for Sustainability and Economics: about us

Experiences and competencies that have grown and developed over the years form the history of the Institute. Since 1991, companies have been guided by our Institute towards market leadership in their respective industries with regard to added value through the linking of environmental-ecological, socio-economic and purely economic ways of acting.

In addition to the contributors, the Institute has around 40 additional freelance professionals from a wide variety of specialist fields. This ensures professional competence covering almost all disciplines.

Our aspiration is the sustainable development and documentation of responsibility and quality of future-oriented companies. We are the central awarding body for the inspection seal „Gesicherte Nachhaltigkeit“ in 12 languages for more than 16,000 companies in more than 200 industries in Europe, Asia, North and South America, as well as parts of South Africa.

Reconnecting with social values, the human being in the focus of entrepreneurial goal orientation; reflecting product and service quality towards the future, distinguish us and our certified companies from those acting differently.

Internationally, we are leading with regard to the quality and acceptance of our certificates and inspection seals.

Due to our high level of professional expertise, we repeatedly hold positions on advisory boards, expert juries and specialist committees.

Since 2011, the Institute has officially been involved in conducting research work. Freelance employees, students and university staff can participate in this.
